Banjo Man

Here's an editorial piece I did for an assignment illustrating an article about an old banjo player that had miracle brain surgery while he was playing his banjo so the surgeons could pin point the part of his brain that was effecting the movement of his figures...It worked and now hes still a playin. I though it was pretty cool, this is my take on it. I had a lot of fun with this project, this is done in all acrylic. Thanks for looking, Happy Thanksgiving!

2 portraits

Here are 2 more portraits that I did for fun when Matt was doing his portrait assignment for his Illustration class. It was fun just to mess around with new techniques and media.

Digital still life

This is an assignment we had in computer illustration. It was to do a still life using a program called painter. The subject is kind of boring but it was just so we could learn the program, it was pretty cool because they try and make it seem just like you are really painting...but on a computer, kind of weird but I was pleased with the results, surely a lot less messy.

Catfish

This is my last illustration assignment where we were to do a sequential illustration in 3 to 5 panels. If you can't tell it's a cat on a boat and then the man is fishing and then he caught a big fish and then you see that he caught the fish with the cat. I know it sounds sad but don't worry the cat is fine and he gets to eat some of the fish. Well anyways I was having trouble getting into this piece at the beginning but it ended up being pretty fun. After I had the drawings down I cut out all the shapes with different papers, it's the first time I have ever tried doing an illustration like this so tell me what you think! :)
